Sheikh Mohamed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah, has directed that a financial reward of 1,000 dirhams be granted for every kilogram of weight lost by each participant in the second edition of the 'Ras Al Khaimah Fitness' initiative who did not make it onto the list of the top 20 winners, in recognition of their commitment and determination to achieve the initiative's health objectives.

His Highness affirmed that the initiative was not merely a competition to claim rankings, but a community project aimed at promoting a culture of health and physical fitness and entrenching healthy lifestyles among members of society, noting that everyone who committed to the challenge and succeeded in improving their health is a winner deserving of appreciation.

His Highness said: "We believe that true victory begins with triumphing over oneself, and everyone who participated in this initiative and strove earnestly to improve their health and physical fitness is a source of pride and appreciation."

"From this standpoint, we have directed that 1,000 dirhams be granted for every kilogram of weight lost by each participant who did not reach the top 20 list, as an encouragement to continue this health journey and to reinforce the conviction that every step towards a healthier life is an achievement worthy of celebration."

The direction by the Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah is an extension of his keenness to support community initiatives aimed at raising quality of life and motivating members of society to adopt a healthy and sustainable lifestyle, thereby contributing to building a healthier and more active community, and embodying the emirate's vision of investing in people and their health as the fundamental pillar of development.
