The Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination has affirmed that the family is the primary partner in the success of the rehabilitation and empowerment system, and that investing in the capabilities of people of determination begins with building a genuine and sustainable partnership with guardians, who are considered the fundamental pillar in supporting their children and helping them achieve their full potential and integrate effectively into society.

This came during the People of Determination Families Forum, organised by the organisation's Agricultural and Vocational Rehabilitation Department under the slogan "Because They Deserve the Best", with broad participation from guardians and families of enrolled members.

The forum was held as part of the organisation's commitment to strengthening direct communication with families and involving them in the development of educational and rehabilitation programmes, contributing to raising the quality of services and achieving the best outcomes for its members.

The forum provided a space for direct dialogue between guardians, teachers, trainers, and specialised staff, to enhance the exchange of expertise and discuss the educational and rehabilitation plans for enrolled members, and to review best practices supporting their development — thereby strengthening their prospects for independence and quality of life, and cementing the partnership approach the organisation adopts with families across the various stages of rehabilitation and empowerment.

The results of a survey conducted by the organisation at the close of the forum showed a high level of satisfaction among guardians across all aspects of the event, with the overall satisfaction rate reaching 98%. All participants confirmed that the forum had strengthened their role as essential partners in their children's educational and rehabilitation journey.

The results further showed that 99% of guardians reported that direct meetings with teachers and trainers had enhanced their knowledge of their children's progress and needs, while 97% praised the accompanying activities and events for providing a positive experience that brought joy to students and their families — reflecting the forum's success in achieving its objectives and fostering effective partnership between the organisation and families.
