Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, chaired the meeting of the Cabinet Council for Artificial Intelligence and Development, held at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi.
In a post on his account on the platform X, His Highness affirmed that the UAE is moving forward to cement a new global model for future governments, one based on employing assistive artificial intelligence in decision-making, developing government services, and raising performance efficiency.
His Highness affirmed that the UAE's vision is for the country to be the "most advanced global laboratory" for artificial intelligence applications in government work, reinforcing its leadership in adopting future technologies and developing the government work ecosystem.
"From the UAE, a new global model for future governments is launched — one that relies on assistive artificial intelligence in decision-making, service development, and performance efficiency. Our vision is for the UAE to be the most advanced global laboratory for artificial intelligence applications in government work."
During the meeting, the Council reviewed the latest developments in the Assistive Artificial Intelligence in the Federal Government project, including its implementation phases, tracks and targets, as well as proposed projects to support the transformation programme through the adoption of AI technologies and solutions across various fields, encompassing business practice, corporate governance, cybersecurity, and other government work sectors in the country.
The Council also reviewed the findings of studies conducted to assess the development of a number of national sectors, including the latest developments in the country's labour market, the strategic stockpile of essential commodities, and other strategic and vital sectors.
The meeting also included discussion of a number of legislative amendments submitted for the reorganisation of several sectors, covering the residency and visas system, government services, and government human resources.
On government affairs, the Council discussed Federal National Council requests relating to Emiratisation policies in the private sector and health insurance. It also reviewed the Council's recommendations on student admissions programmes in higher education, scholarships and study grants, traffic safety and flow, regulation of the statistics sector and open data, enhancing the country's competitiveness, as well as family protection, the concept of the family, and its entity.
