The Judicial Council held its meeting yesterday under the chairmanship of Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of the Council, at the Sharjah Space and Astronomy Complex.
The Council discussed a number of items on the agenda relating to monitoring judicial performance, developing the judicial system, enhancing procedural efficiency, and raising the quality of judicial services, in a manner that supports expediting the adjudication of cases and achieving justice with efficiency and effectiveness.
The Council approved the establishment of the Specialised Probate Court, to handle all probate cases before specialised judges, in line with the Council's vision of developing the judicial system and strengthening specialised judiciary.
The Council also approved the establishment of the Specialised Enforcement Court, which will be responsible for enforcing all judicial rulings and decisions in accordance with the highest standards of efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring the prompt delivery of rights to their holders, the accurate implementation of rulings, and the enhancement of integration and coordination with the competent authorities in the emirate, thereby consolidating a more efficient and effective judicial enforcement system.
The Council issued a resolution on regulating precautionary and electronic measures in enforcement proceedings, with the aim of developing judicial enforcement mechanisms and leveraging modern technologies to enhance procedural efficiency. The resolution enables the enforcement judge to employ a range of precautionary and electronic measures, including advance notification, periodic electronic verification, and electronic tracking and monitoring tools.
The Council also issued a resolution on regulating judicial on-call duty in the courts of the Emirate of Sharjah, ensuring the availability of an on-call judge around the clock, seven days a week, to consider and process urgent requests and procedures related to enforcement without delay, thereby enhancing judicial continuity and improving response times to emergency requests.
This ensures the delivery of judicial services efficiently throughout the day. On the sidelines of the meeting, the President of the Judicial Council visited the planetarium at the Sharjah Space and Astronomy Complex, where he watched a show titled "Order in the Universe and the Laws that Govern It", which presented a visual scientific journey beginning from the skies over the Sharjah desert.
