The Supplementary Grants Committee for Retirees in the Emirate of Sharjah held its periodic meeting under the chairmanship of Abdullah Ibrahim Al Zaabi, member of the Executive Council of Sharjah, head of the Department of Human Resources, and chairman of the committee, in the presence of the committee's members.
During the meeting, the committee reviewed the latest developments in work related to supplementary grants and discussed ways to develop support delivery mechanisms to enhance their efficiency and sustainability for beneficiary groups.
The committee approved 31 new applications that meet the requirements for the retirees' supplementary grant, at an annual cost of 1,747,200 dirhams, with the amounts to be disbursed into beneficiaries' accounts during June 2026.
The committee affirmed that the continued approval of supplementary grant applications comes within the framework of Sharjah's efforts to enhance the living stability of retirees, by providing support that contributes to meeting their daily needs, in accordance with a methodology that ensures efficient review of applications and swift decision-making, thereby entrenching the principles of social justice and aligning with the emirate's vision of supporting all segments of society.
