The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has launched the country's first two assistants powered by agentic artificial intelligence technologies in the meteorological sector.

In line with the directives of the wise leadership and the UAE's vision to accelerate the adoption of agentic AI technologies in government work, the NCM has adopted a comprehensive roadmap to expand the application of these technologies across its various operational domains — a step that reflects its commitment to developing the national meteorology system, enhancing its readiness for the future, and supporting the country's goals of building a more efficient, agile, and proactive government.

His Excellency Dr Abdullah Ahmed Al Mandous, Director General of the National Centre of Meteorology and President of the World Meteorological Organization, said that the NCM's adoption of agentic AI technologies embodies the wise leadership's vision of harnessing advanced technology to build a more efficient and proactive government system. He affirmed that the centre continues to work on translating this vision into practical applications that support decision-making and enhance the country's readiness to deal with various meteorological and climatic phenomena.
