Under the patronage and in the presence of Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, and with the participation of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sandooq Al Watan, the 'Ahd wa Wa'd' (Pledge and Promise) forum will launch tomorrow in the emirate of Ajman.
This comes within the framework of Ajman's active participation in the national and community initiative 'Ahd wa Wa'd', which was launched to embody the will of large segments of UAE society to express the highest meanings of belonging, loyalty, faithfulness, and gratitude to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him. The forum's activities are being held under the slogan 'A pledge of loyalty and a promise of faithfulness'.
A number of sheikhs, local leaders, academics, artists, intellectuals, and representatives of various segments of the local community are participating in the forum's events.
The fifth edition of the 'Ahd wa Wa'd' forum focuses on familiarising the various segments of Ajman's local community with the initiative and explaining its nature as a comprehensive community and national platform that reflects the spirit of social cohesion that distinguishes UAE society.
It also calls on everyone to participate, as an initiative that was launched from all sections of society, originating from the capital Abu Dhabi with broad participation from citizens and residents alike through open digital voting, in a civilised and voluntary manner that expresses national unity and alignment behind wise leadership — transforming into a digital platform and a symbolic state of cohesion between the leader of the journey and his people.
Yasser Al Qarqawi, Director General of Sandooq Al Watan, said that the 'Ahd wa Wa'd' initiative, which was launched by different segments of society — citizens and residents, youth and elders, workers and thinkers — embodies a collective message of gratitude to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and affirms at the same time the community's commitment to following his leadership and working as a team to consolidate the UAE's standing as a global model of renaissance and development.
