The UAE Sustainability Fellowship celebrated the graduation of its third cohort, in the presence of Her Excellency Ohood bint Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Government Development and the Future. The cohort comprised 32 distinguished employees from the public and private sectors who completed an intensive programme focused on empowering makers of positive impact in UAE society and preparing the next generation of sustainability leaders.
The fellowship received support from Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) and ADNOC, the programme's strategic partners, through the Sustainability Executive Network and in collaboration with the Posterity Institute, in a joint effort to develop sustainability leadership across the country.
Her Excellency Ohood Al Roumi affirmed that the UAE Sustainability Fellowship's drive to build a new generation of sustainability impact-makers reflects the UAE government's focus on investing in national talent and equipping them with the skills and tools needed to shape the future. She said it aligns with the government's orientation toward results and quality outcomes, within a comprehensive, proactive vision centred on people and the future.
Her Excellency said that building new generations of sustainability leaders in the UAE represents a priority in the government's agenda for creating a positive impact on community life and ensuring a better future for generations to come.
She noted that the UAE Sustainability Fellowship has become a platform for capacity building, skills development, and the empowerment of national talent, reinforcing their role in driving real and tangible change across sustainability fields.
The third cohort adopted a comprehensive methodology that treats sustainability as an integrated system linking industry, community, technology, and people. The programme's modules covered various themes including building industries, resilient communities, the art of translating vision into action, harnessing technology and innovation to build smarter systems, the role of artificial intelligence in serving humanity, community leadership built on purposeful design, and systems thinking in addressing complex interconnected challenges.
