Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, attended the 'Ahd wa Waad' (Pledge and Promise) forum on Tuesday morning, organised by Sandooq Al Watan at the Jawaher Centre for Events and Conferences.
Upon his arrival, His Highness was received by Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah; His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Chairman of the Board of Sandooq Al Watan; and Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Central Finance Department.
Also present were Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah Ports, Customs and Free Zones Authority; Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Suburban Affairs; Sheikha Jawahir bint Abdullah Al Qasimi, Director General of the Quarter Century Foundation for Leadership and Innovation; Sheikh Engineer Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Majid Al Qasimi, Director of the Department of Municipal Affairs; and a number of senior officials.
The Crown Prince of Sharjah expressed his pride in the sincere sentiments that citizens and residents of the country hold towards the wise leadership, as embodied in national community initiatives such as the 'Ahd wa Waad' forum. He said the forum reflects values of loyalty, belonging, and allegiance to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God preserve him, and mirrors the depth of the relationship uniting the leadership with the people — a relationship founded on trust, love, and a shared vision for the future.
His Highness commended the efforts of the President, may God preserve him, his strategic vision, and his distinguished initiatives, which have contributed to cementing the United Arab Emirates' standing regionally and globally.
He affirmed that the wisdom and foresight of His Highness have formed the foundation for a comprehensive and sustainable development journey that has enhanced the country's competitiveness and leadership across various fields, and established a successful national model based on investing in people, empowering them, and building a more prosperous future for coming generations.
The Crown Prince of Sharjah also commended the efforts of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Chairman of the Board of Sandooq Al Watan, in organising the national initiative, describing it as an extension of his record of service to the nation across all sectors. His Highness noted that the forum embodies the social cohesion and firm national unity that distinguishes the United Arab Emirates.
His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan affirmed that Sharjah represents a leading model of development and progress, thanks to the vision and support of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah. He praised the emirate's achievements, which have made it an advanced centre for education, culture, arts, and human development, and an exemplary model in preserving heritage and elevating the human condition.
The Crown Prince of Sharjah joined Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, a number of sheikhs, and more than 20 public figures representing all segments of Sharjah society in signing the 'Ahd wa Waad' document — a gesture reflecting values of loyalty and cohesion between the wise leadership and all segments of society, both citizens and residents.
