His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, has directed the implementation of an expansion project for the University Hospital in Sharjah. The project will consist of a new building adjoining the existing one, connected by a shared lobby, at a total cost of 300 million dirhams (AED), with work set to begin immediately.
The project forms part of efforts to develop healthcare services and enhance the hospital's readiness. The new building will double the hospital's capacity by 100%, while also adding 300 new parking spaces to meet the needs of patients and visitors.
