Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, has praised the leading humanitarian role played by the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, its charitable and relief services and initiatives inside and outside the country, and what it embodies as a firm national mission to extend assistance to those in need and support those affected by crises and disasters.
This came during a reception held at the Amiri Court in Ajman, attended by Sheikh Ahmed bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Representative of the Ruler of Ajman for Administrative and Financial Affairs, and a delegation from the Emirates Red Crescent Authority comprising Ahmed Sari Al Mazrouei, Secretary-General of the Authority; Omair Mohammed Al Muhairi, Deputy Secretary-General for the Local Sector; Sultan Rashid Al Kutbi, Deputy Secretary-General for the International Sector; and Mohammed Omar Al Shammari, Director of the Red Crescent in Ajman.
During the meeting, the Ruler of Ajman was briefed on the Authority's most prominent humanitarian and charitable initiatives and programmes, its efforts to support those in need and those affected by crises, and the projects it implements to enhance the UAE's presence in the field of humanitarian work.
His Highness affirmed that the activities and programmes of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority enjoy the attention and support of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God preserve him, in a manner that strengthens the UAE's presence in humanitarian fields and entrenches its established approach of standing by those in need and providing relief to disaster victims.
His Highness also commended the support extended by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, to humanitarian and charitable initiatives, and his role in consolidating the UAE's position as a global model of generosity and service to humanity, both at home and abroad.
The Ruler of Ajman noted the ongoing follow-up and support of Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Representative of the Ruler of Abu Dhabi in the Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, for the Authority's programmes and centres across the various emirates, which has contributed to developing its performance, expanding the impact of its initiatives, and enhancing its capacity to reach those in need inside and outside the country.
Ahmed Sari Al Mazrouei expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Ruler of Ajman for His Highness's interest in the Emirates Red Crescent Authority's initiatives and programmes, and his keenness to support the humanitarian efforts carried out by the Authority inside and outside the country, in a manner that strengthens its impact in serving those in need and those affected by hardship.
In a separate matter, Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, honoured the General Command of Ajman Police at the Amiri Court yesterday in recognition of its winning of 7 regional and international awards in the fields of institutional excellence, sustainability and innovation.
The honour comes as an affirmation of the support of Ajman's leadership for the journey of government excellence, and its commitment to encouraging qualitative initiatives that raise performance efficiency and promote a culture of innovation and competitiveness in institutional work. The Ruler of Ajman congratulated the General Command of Ajman Police on this achievement.
His Highness affirmed that winning 7 regional and international awards reflects the development of the policing system in the emirate and its capacity for competition and distinction in the areas of sustainability, innovation and institutional performance quality.
His Highness praised the efforts of the working teams at Ajman Police and the qualitative initiatives they deliver that contribute to elevating services and enhancing quality of life, stressing that these achievements serve as an incentive to continue development and consolidate Ajman's standing in the fields of government excellence at both the regional and international levels.
The honouring ceremony was attended by Sheikh Ahmed bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Representative of the Ruler of Ajman for Administrative and Financial Affairs; Sheikh Sultan bin Ali Al Nuaimi; Sheikh Dr Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Head of the Ajman Port and Customs Department; and a number of sheikhs and senior officials.
