His Excellency Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council, sent a congratulatory cable to Dr Abdul Hamid Al Awak on the occasion of his election as Speaker of the People's Assembly of the brotherly Syrian Arab Republic.
His Excellency expressed, on his own behalf and on behalf of the members of the Federal National Council, his sincere congratulations and felicitations, wishing Dr Abdul Hamid Al Awak success and guidance in carrying out his duties and national responsibilities, and in achieving accomplishments that meet the aspirations of the brotherly Syrian people for security, stability, progress, and prosperity.
His Excellency Saqr Ghobash affirmed the Federal National Council's keenness to establish and develop parliamentary cooperation relations with the People's Assembly of the Syrian Arab Republic, in a manner that serves common interests and contributes to strengthening the bonds of brotherhood and friendship between the United Arab Emirates and the Syrian Arab Republic, and between the two brotherly peoples.
