His Excellency Joseph Aoun, President of the sisterly Lebanese Republic, received at the Presidential Palace in the capital Beirut His Excellency Fahad Al Kaabi, the United Arab Emirates Ambassador to the Lebanese Republic.

Al Kaabi conveyed to the president the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the State and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, along with their wishes for the Lebanese Republic and its brotherly people for continued progress and prosperity.

For his part, President Aoun asked Al Kaabi to convey his greetings to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the State and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, along with his wishes for the United Arab Emirates — its government and people — for further development and growth.

During the meeting, the spotlight was placed on developments in Lebanon and the region, and ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two sisterly countries across various fields were discussed.

President Aoun expressed his profound gratitude for the UAE's decision to allow its citizens to travel to their second homeland, Lebanon, stressing that this step reflects the depth of the deeply rooted fraternal relations between the two countries and embodies the strength of the historical bonds uniting the two brotherly peoples.

Ambassador Fahad Al Kaabi, for his part, affirmed the UAE's continued commitment to consolidating cooperation and elevating bilateral relations in a manner that serves the common interests of the two sisterly countries, noting that the UAE will remain a supporter of Lebanon's security, stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, as well as everything that fulfils the aspirations of the brotherly Lebanese people for development and prosperity.
