Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, held talks with his brother Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of the sisterly State of Kuwait, on the fraternal relations and various aspects of cooperation between the two countries, and on joint efforts to develop them, particularly in the developmental and economic fields, in ways that serve their mutual interests and bring prosperity and progress to their two peoples.
This took place during a meeting the President held with his brother Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah yesterday at Bayan Palace, as part of a fraternal visit the President is making to Kuwait.
Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of Kuwait, welcomed his brother the President at the outset of the meeting, and the two exchanged warm conversation reflecting the depth of the fraternal bonds uniting the leadership and peoples of the two countries. The two sides also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common concern, foremost among them developments taking place in the Middle East, affirming in this context the importance of working to entrench the foundations of stability and lasting peace in the region, in the interest of all its peoples and the development of its states.
Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah hosted a luncheon in honour of the President and the accompanying delegation.
The meeting and luncheon were attended by the delegation accompanying the President, which included Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court; Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Private Affairs; and His Excellency Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Adviser to the President, alongside a number of UAE officials.
Also in attendance were Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Crown Prince of Kuwait; Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister; Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; and a number of sheikhs, ministers and officials of the State of Kuwait.
The President departed Kuwait at the conclusion of his fraternal visit, and was seen off at the Amiri Airport by the Crown Prince of Kuwait and a number of sheikhs and officials.
