His Excellency Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council, received separately at the Council's headquarters in Abu Dhabi Anatol Vangheli, Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to the UAE, and George Janjgava, Ambassador of Georgia to the UAE, in the presence of Dr. Omar Al Nuaimi, Secretary-General of the Federal National Council.

The two meetings addressed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various fields between the friendly countries, particularly activating cooperation and parliamentary relations between the Federal National Council and the parliamentary councils of these states, as well as the importance of exchanging visits, knowledge, and parliamentary practices.

The meetings also focused on enhancing coordination and consultation on various issues of mutual interest between the United Arab Emirates and both Moldova and Georgia. H.E. Saqr Ghobash touched during both meetings on current regional developments and the serious repercussions being witnessed across the region.

He noted that parliamentary diplomacy represents a key instrument for strengthening bilateral cooperation and supporting joint efforts in international forums, particularly with regard to international peace and security, given the rapidly accelerating challenges the world faces that call for the unification of positions and orientations.

During his meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova, H.E. affirmed the strength of bilateral relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Moldova since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 1995, and the progress made in political, economic, investment, and consular fields, reflecting both sides' keenness to enhance cooperation in a manner that serves the interests of both countries and their friendly peoples.

He stressed the importance of keeping parliamentary cooperation between the Federal National Council and the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova in step with the notable development in bilateral relations, through strengthening parliamentary consultation, exchanging expertise, and coordinating positions on issues of mutual interest, underlining the importance of activating parliamentary diplomacy as a tributary to bilateral relations.

During his meeting with George Janjgava, Ambassador of Georgia to the UAE, H.E. Saqr Ghobash affirmed the strength of UAE–Georgia relations since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 1992, and the progress achieved across various political, economic, investment, tourism, and cultural fields.

He commended the momentum in bilateral relations driven by high-level visits and meetings between the two countries' leaderships, pointing to the importance of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between the two countries in boosting trade and investment flows, supporting the competitiveness of both the UAE and Georgian economies, and enhancing supply chain resilience between the Gulf region, the Caucasus, and European and Asian markets.
