Her Excellency Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of State, has concluded an official visit to Barbados as part of a wide-ranging tour of the Caribbean region aimed at bolstering bilateral cooperation across a number of priority sectors.
During the visit, she met with Her Excellency Mia Amor Mottley, Prime Minister of Barbados, and conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE and Chairman of the Presidential Court, along with their wishes for Barbados and its friendly people for continued progress and prosperity.
Prime Minister Mottley in turn entrusted Her Excellency Al Kaabi with her greetings to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE and Chairman of the Presidential Court, and her wishes for the UAE — its leadership, government and people — for further development and growth.
The discussions shed light on ways to strengthen relations between the United Arab Emirates and Barbados in the fields of trade, digital transformation, sustainable development, and investment, while also exploring new opportunities to elevate the bilateral partnership. The two sides also exchanged views on a number of regional and international developments of mutual interest.
Her Excellency also met with His Excellency Senator Christopher Peter Sinclair, Senior Minister for Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Barbados, and His Excellency Senator Jonathan Reed, Minister of Innovation, Industry, Science and Technology.
The meetings addressed ways to strengthen coordination within multilateral frameworks and advance bilateral relations to new horizons. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continuing dialogue and supporting economic cooperation in a manner that enhances trade exchange and achieves sustainable growth.
