Under the directives of Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, the Global Humanitarian Work Authority continues to implement its humanitarian and development projects in the Syrian Arab Republic, within the framework of its efforts to support communities and improve quality of life through vital projects and initiatives in the education and health sectors.
In this context, the Authority announced the completion of a maintenance project for an educational complex in the city of Al-Lataminah, Hama Governorate, Syria. The complex comprises 5 schools and is set to serve as an educational beacon contributing to the spread of knowledge and the provision of a supportive learning environment for students.
On the health front, the Global Humanitarian Work Authority supported the Raqqa National Hospital by providing a range of medical devices and supplies for the obstetrics and paediatrics departments, including intensive care beds, mechanical ventilators, women's ultrasound devices, electrolyte analysers, electrocautery units, a chemistry laboratory, and an oxygen station.
Equipment provided for the paediatrics and neonatal department included ventilators, incubators, operating light tables, automated and electric anaesthesia devices, suction units, monitoring devices, ear examination equipment, vein detectors, and remote temperature measurement devices — all of which enhance the hospital's readiness and capacity to deliver comprehensive healthcare services.
Dr Khaled Abdul Wahab Al Khajah, Secretary-General of the Authority, affirmed that these projects embody Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi's commitment to implementing humanitarian initiatives that improve the lives of those in need and strengthen the foundations of stability and development within communities.
He expressed his highest gratitude to the Ruler of Ajman for his continued support of humanitarian projects, particularly in Syria, which include educational projects and vital health facilities that restore hope to those in need and enhance their quality of life.
Al Khajah added that these noble stances are not surprising coming from His Highness, who has always been a steadfast supporter of friends and strangers alike, embodying a model of generosity whose giving extends to supporting those in need and providing relief to disaster victims around the world. He noted that these sustainable development projects in Syria are an extension of His Highness's firm approach and the state's approach to empowering communities and elevating people, ensuring that the UAE, under its wise leadership, remains a beacon of goodness and giving.
