EDGE Europe and the French General Directorate of Armament (DGA) have signed a cooperation framework that paves the way for EDGE's contribution to France's defence, technology and industrial ecosystem.

The agreement was signed during the official launch of EDGE Europe and the inauguration of its new strategic headquarters in Paris, at an event attended by a distinguished group of government and industrial partners, reaffirming EDGE's long-term commitment to France and Europe.

The cooperation framework represents the first step towards enabling industrial and technological collaboration between EDGE and the DGA. It also reflects the depth of the defence relationship between France and the United Arab Emirates, and supports both countries' ambitions in the fields of defence technology and industrial sovereignty.

The agreement marks the beginning of a pathway that will allow EDGE to contribute to the French defence ecosystem by introducing its technologies and products to the French market in line with French regulatory standards and approved procurement requirements, while laying the groundwork for a deeper industrial relationship with the DGA in the coming phases.

General Gaël Dias de Tuesta, France's National Armaments Director at the DGA, said that France and the United Arab Emirates share a solid and long-standing defence relationship, which was once again demonstrated through the support France has provided to the UAE since 28 February 2026.

In this context, the DGA congratulates the EDGE Group on its decision to establish a headquarters and business presence in France, and welcomes its choice of the Eurosatory exhibition to announce this step.

The DGA also commends the quality of the commitments made by the EDGE Group in the framework of its efforts to strengthen France's and Europe's technological and industrial defence sovereignty.

For his part, Hamad Al Marar, Managing Director and Group CEO, said that signing this agreement with the DGA reflects EDGE's deep commitment to France, and that given the pivotal role the DGA plays in France's defence procurement ecosystem, this cooperation will have a solid industrial foundation from the outset, while directly contributing to supporting France's sovereign interests.

The agreement is grounded in a decades-long relationship between France and the United Arab Emirates encompassing defence, industrial and strategic cooperation, and reflects the shared ambition of both countries to deepen this relationship in the years ahead.
