The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Charitable Foundation has provided financial support worth 2 million dirhams (AED) to private charitable schools under its "With Knowledge We Rise" initiative, aimed at assisting struggling students and families, easing the financial burden on parents, and ensuring students can continue their educational journey without economic circumstances standing in the way of completing their education.
The support comes at a time when a number of parents need to obtain their children's secondary school certificates — in preparation for the transition to university and the completion of registration and admission procedures — enabling families unable to meet their financial obligations to receive the certificates in time and ensuring their children do not miss out on university opportunities.
Abdullah Al Katbi, Director of Social Support at the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Charitable Foundation, confirmed that the initiative builds on previous cooperation with private charitable schools and reflects the Foundation's commitment to supporting education as one of the most important areas of sustainable humanitarian and social work.
He added that the Foundation's initiatives are guided by the principle of equal support for all members of society, whether citizens or residents, and that it is committed to reaching families facing financial circumstances that may affect their children's ability to continue their education.
For his part, Dr. Maher Hattab, Director General of the private charitable schools, confirmed that the support comes at a critically important time, as demand from families to settle outstanding tuition fees and obtain secondary school certificates — in preparation for completing university enrolment procedures — rises sharply during this period.
Hassan Swalma, Principal of the Al Ahliya Charitable School for Boys, said the initiative represents a lifeline for a number of students, particularly secondary school students who need to receive their certificates quickly in order to complete university admission applications before deadlines expire.
