Brigadier General Dr. Abdulrahman Sharaf Al Maamari, Director of Al Himaya International Centre at the General Administration for Drug Control and overall supervisor of the summer courses programme, visited the summer training centres for students enrolled in Dubai Police's summer courses programme, held under the slogan "Our Summer Is Safe and Happy… Innovation and Leadership". The programme is organised in partnership with the Ministry of Education, the Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai, the Dubai Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, the Irada Centre for Treatment and Rehabilitation, Al Ameen Service, and Farjan Dubai — with the aim of monitoring the progress of training and specialist courses and student participation.
Brigadier General Dr. Al Maamari said the summer programme had attracted 1,400 male and female students of various ages, representing 31 nationalities from 130 government and private schools, distributed across 12 training centres. Of these, 8 centres offer comprehensive courses encompassing sports and military training, as well as awareness lectures, training workshops, and field visits, at the Zayed Educational Complex in Oud Al Mutena, Al Khawaneej, Al Warqa, Al Barsha North, Al Barsha South, Asma bint Al Nu'man School, and Hatta School.
The remaining 5 centres offer specialist courses covering diving, swimming, Junior Security Responder (901), the Promising Investigator, and Future Leaders.
