Grade 12 students at government and private schools following the Ministry of Education curriculum concluded the final examinations of the third and last term of the 2025–2026 academic year yesterday, sitting the biology paper and thereby drawing the curtain on a full school year. The examinations took place in an atmosphere of calm and discipline across all examination halls. The summer holiday for students has now begun, while eligible students prepare for make-up tests, which run from Monday, 6 July to Thursday, 9 July.

Government and private school administrations confirmed that examination halls maintained complete order from the start of the test to its conclusion, with full technical and administrative support provided to students. The examinations were conducted electronically, and no technical malfunctions or issues affecting the conduct of the tests were recorded. All organisational procedures proceeded in accordance with the plan approved by the Ministry of Education.

A number of students said the biology examination was pitched at an average level and included both straightforward questions and others designed to assess comprehension, analysis, and inference. They confirmed that the paper was drawn from the curriculum and the approved framework, took into account individual differences among students, and contained a limited number of questions aimed at distinguishing high-achieving students.

Students noted that the conclusion of the examinations marks the end of an important academic stage and the beginning of a new one. They expressed relief at bringing the examination marathon to a close after weeks of preparation and revision, adding that the summer holiday will be an opportunity to rest and recharge before moving on to university study or preparing for the next academic year.

With the completion of the biology examination, the end-of-year tests for Grade 12 students are now over. The examinations began on 24 June with mathematics, followed by English, then chemistry, physics, Arabic language, Islamic education, and social studies, concluding today with biology, in accordance with the timetable approved by the Ministry of Education.

The Ministry of Education will administer make-up examinations starting Monday, 6 July 2026, running through Thursday, 9 July 2026, for students who were absent from the final examinations with an accepted excuse or who faced exceptional circumstances meeting the criteria for make-up tests, in accordance with the approved schedules and procedures, so as to ensure the completion of final assessment requirements and the validation of results.

Schools are scheduled to continue electronic marking, grade entry, and results review over the coming days, ahead of announcing results according to the timetable set by the Ministry, in addition to issuing academic certificates, completing graduation procedures for Grade 12 students, and fulfilling the requirements for enrolment in higher education institutions both within the country and abroad.

With the last examinations of the academic year now concluded, students begin their summer holiday, while schools prepare to carry out routine maintenance of buildings and facilities, ready themselves to receive the new academic year, and organise summer programmes and activities aimed at developing students' skills and channelling their free time in a positive manner.
