Dubai Future Foundation and Amazon UAE have announced a strategic partnership to launch a joint scholarship for Emirati students aged between 13 and 17 to join The Knowledge Society Dubai (TKS) programme, one of the world's largest innovation support programmes for school students. The initiative aims to equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and readiness needed to keep pace with rapid transformations in the digital landscape, and represents a qualitative step in preparing the next generation for the future economy of the United Arab Emirates.
The first-of-its-kind collaboration with The Knowledge Society Dubai programme seeks to prepare the next generation of future-economy leaders in the UAE, support national talent through advanced education and continuous learning, and embody the importance of joint action between the public and private sectors in developing forward-looking innovative initiatives. It also contributes to realising the UAE's ambitions as a global hub for innovation and talent development, and reflects Amazon's commitment to supporting local talent and equipping them with the most in-demand skills of the future.
Abdulaziz Al Jaziri, Deputy CEO of Dubai Future Foundation, said: "Preparing young people for a future marked by accelerating technological change requires providing early opportunities, hands-on experiences, and building their confidence to create practical solutions.
"Through this strategic partnership with Amazon UAE, we aim to give Emirati students direct exposure to emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics, and biotechnology, and to equip them with practical skills and world-class mentorship — driven by our belief in the necessity of investing in empowering and supporting competencies and enhancing their future readiness."
Ronaldo Mouchawar, Vice President for the Middle East, Africa, and Turkey at Amazon, said: "We are proud to collaborate with Dubai Future Foundation on this innovative programme, which gives Emirati students access to world-class knowledge and training.
"By investing in hands-on learning experiences in emerging technologies, we aim to provide young innovators with the applied skills they need to succeed in the economy of the future.
"This collaboration reflects our firm commitment to the UAE's vision of developing future competencies and building a knowledge-based economy that empowers the next generation of leaders."
Scholarship recipients will participate in the upcoming 10-month cycle of The Knowledge Society Dubai programme, which includes weekly interactive sessions in the fields of artificial intelligence, robotics, and biotechnology, as well as applied projects and personalised mentorship from a global network of experts and specialists.
