The University of Dubai's Board of Trustees, meeting under the chairmanship of His Excellency Dr. Rashid Ahmed bin Fahd, president of the board, and attended by Engineer Hussein Nasser Lootah and board members, reviewed the financial and administrative report for the first four months of the current year.

The board also reviewed a report presented by Dr. Essa Al Bastaki, president of the university, on new bachelor's programmes at Dubai Business School, sports events and activities, and achievements in academic and administrative fields — all reflecting the university's commitment to excellence, maintaining education quality, and keeping pace with the latest developments in academic education.

The board's president and members praised the university's scientific research output after hearing a report presented by Dr. Essa Al Bastaki on achievements by the university and its academic staff in the field of scientific research. The report noted that scientific publications had reached more than 1,000 research papers over the past four years, alongside advances in the quality of applied research for state institutions and the university's collaboration with international, local, regional, and Arab universities.

The university is ranked first in scientific research in Dubai, with an average of 4 research papers per researcher and approximately 250 papers per year. Publications in international journals at first- and second-tier quality levels are contributing to raising the university's global ranking.

His Excellency Dr. Rashid Ahmed bin Fahd, chairman of the board of trustees, and board members praised the achievements, programmes, academic and administrative activities, cultural awards, and first-place finishes in sports activities attained by the university during the current year.
