The Dubai Government Media Office has denied the accuracy of a report issued by Reuters regarding the sound of explosions in central Dubai, affirming that the information contained in it is incorrect.

The office urged media outlets and the public to obtain news and information from official and reliable sources, to verify accuracy before publishing or circulating any information, and to avoid spreading rumours, false news, and erroneous press reports.

The office confirmed that necessary measures will be taken against media organisations that publish false news or information relating to the Emirate of Dubai, in accordance with the laws and regulatory frameworks in force in the emirate and the United Arab Emirates.

While Reuters circulated those claims, life in the emirate continued normally, with movement across various parts of the city unaffected. Economic, commercial, and tourism activities proceeded as usual. Scheduled events and activities took place on time, and vital facilities welcomed visitors and business people in the customary manner — reflecting the stability of conditions and the uninterrupted continuity of daily life in the emirate.
