Dubai Municipality, in the presence of His Excellency Engineer Marwan Ahmed bin Ghulaita, Director General of Dubai Municipality, honoured the winners of the third edition of the 'Most Beautiful Sustainable Home Garden in Dubai' competition, in recognition of their excellence in adopting best sustainable agricultural practices and presenting innovative home garden models that combine beauty, environmental efficiency, and optimal use of natural resources.

The competition's objectives align with the municipality's efforts to engage local communities in beautifying the city, expanding green spaces, and consolidating environmental sustainability concepts, in harmony with the Dubai Urban Plan 2040 targets and Dubai's vision towards a more sustainable, attractive, and high-quality city. The total value of the competition prizes reached 300,000 dirhams (AED).

The competition, organised by Dubai Municipality, saw the participation of more than 100 home gardens from various areas of the emirate, of which 18 homes advanced to the field evaluation stage before 10 winners were selected from among citizens and residents.

Mohammed Abdulrahman Al Awadhi, Director of the Agriculture Department at Dubai Municipality, said: "The Most Beautiful Sustainable Home Garden in Dubai competition represents a model of effective partnership between the municipality and the community in achieving sustainability targets, and that entrenching environmental culture begins with daily practices inside homes, and that home gardens constitute an important tributary for enhancing biodiversity and expanding green spaces."
