The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai announced that the 'Thamarat Sadaqatikum' initiative supported more than 4,200 beneficiaries during the first half of 2026, with total expenditures exceeding 36 million dirhams, within an institutional framework based on governance, transparency, and efficient resource allocation to ensure support reaches those entitled to it.
The department affirmed that the initiative reflects Dubai's vision of consolidating a comprehensive charitable system built on partnership between government entities and the charitable sector, contributing to the sustainability of humanitarian work and achieving lasting social impact.
In the healthcare sector, the 'Sareer Al Khayr' initiative allocated more than 2 million dirhams to cover treatment costs for indigent patients, provide medical equipment, and support health research, benefiting more than 90 people.
Meanwhile, in the education sector, the 'Kursi Al Ilm' initiative provided support to students, struggling families, and university students with limited income, with total expenditures exceeding 1 million dirhams, benefiting more than 2,600 people, helping to sustain educational continuity and promote equal opportunities.
The housing initiative contributed to supporting a number of families by providing decent accommodation, with expenditures of nearly 800,000 dirhams, enhancing family stability and quality of life. Under the 'Tafrij Kurbah' initiative, debts owed by insolvent detainees were settled, with total expenditures exceeding 11 million dirhams, benefiting around 180 people.
Other initiatives included support for humanitarian cases, the 'Jood' platform, and the 'Hadd Al Hayat' campaign, with total expenditures exceeding 20 million dirhams, benefiting more than 1,200 people.
Mohammed Mesbah Dahi, Executive Director of the Charitable Work Sector, said that the results achieved by the 'Thamarat Sadaqatikum' initiative reflect the success of Dubai's charitable work system, which is built on governance, transparency, and reliability, having strengthened the confidence of donors, institutions, and the community.
