The General Command of Dubai Police has launched the 'Promising Detective' course, organised by the General Department of Criminal Investigations and Forensics in cooperation with the General Department of Anti-Narcotics, represented by Al Himaya International Centre. The course forms part of the student summer programme organised by Dubai Police under the slogan 'Our Summer is Safe and Happy… Innovation and Leadership', in partnership with the Ministry of Education, the Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai, and a number of other entities.

The course runs for 4 days, with student participation from various nationalities and age groups. It aims to make productive use of students' time during the summer holiday, enhance their security awareness, and instil values of belonging and adherence to the law, thereby contributing to the preparation of an informed and educated generation capable of serving their community.

Brigadier Saeed Al Hajri, Director of the General Department of Criminal Investigations and Forensics, affirmed Dubai Police's commitment to supporting programmes and activities directed at students, given their role in building young people's character and strengthening their sense of national identity.

He explained that the course programme includes workshops, security and awareness lectures, as well as field activities supervised by specialists, noting that it targets students between the ages of 11 and 14.

Major Dr Ahmed Al Samahi, Director of the International Forensic Training Centre, confirmed that the course aims to disseminate security and forensic culture in a manner suited to the targeted age group, and to familiarise students with their role in strengthening community security.
