The Dubai Police General Command, represented by its 'School Security' initiative and in cooperation with the International Protection Centre, has launched the second edition of the 'Future Security Leaders' programme as part of Dubai Police's summer courses, aimed at enhancing students' security awareness, developing their leadership skills, and consolidating concepts of security and safety.

Lieutenant Maryam Issa Sanqour, Acting Head of the School Security Initiative, confirmed that the programme targeted 900 male and female students and focused on three main pillars: raising awareness of current security challenges, preparing students to deal with future changes, and developing leadership skills and a sense of responsibility.

She explained that the programme included a series of educational sessions and field visits to a number of Dubai Police departments, to familiarise students with the policing system and the functions of its various divisions, as well as to educate them in the areas of forensic security, traffic safety, and community responsibility.

The field visits covered the Dubai Police Museum, the 901 Call Centre, and the Smart Police Station (SPS), where students learned about smart policing services, public communication mechanisms, and the modern technologies used by Dubai Police to enhance security and safety across the emirate.

The programme concluded with a ceremony honouring participating students and presenting them with commemorative gifts in recognition of their engagement and participation, and to encourage them to continue learning and developing their skills.
