The Positive Spirit Council at Dubai Police has continued implementing the 'Shade and Wage' initiative for the fourth consecutive week in the Wadi Al Safa area at 'Burj Versailles', in cooperation with the General Directorate of Police Stations represented by Al Barsha Police Station, the General Directorate of Human Rights, the Police Health Centre, the 'Thank You for Your Giving' volunteer team, and Abul Naga Real Estate Development Company.

The initiative saw the participation of more than 800 workers, and included the distribution of cold water, meals, and umbrellas, alongside the provision of awareness and health guidelines on preventing the risks of heat stress and promoting safe practices during work in the summer season.

The Dubai Police Health Centre also provided workers with awareness on the importance of preventing heat stress and following health procedures that contribute to maintaining their safety, in conjunction with the implementation of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation's decision banning outdoor work and work in open spaces during midday hours from 15 June to 15 September.

Fatima Ahmed Buhijair, President of the Council, affirmed that the continuation of the initiative into its fourth week reflects the commitment of Dubai Police and its partners to supporting workers and raising awareness of safety procedures during the summer months.

"We continue to implement the 'Shade and Wage' initiative out of a belief in the importance of reaching workers at their work sites and providing the support and awareness that enhances their safety."
