Major General Dr. Ahmed Zaal bin Krishan Al Muhairi, Deputy Commander-General for Financial and Administrative Sector Affairs at Dubai Police, chaired the third Financial Sustainability Council meeting of the current year, in the presence of council members and a number of officials and those responsible for financial and administrative affairs. The meeting was held within the framework of monitoring the implementation of financial sustainability targets, enhancing spending efficiency, and improving resource management in line with the Dubai Government's directives and future vision.
The council opened its proceedings with a review of the decisions and recommendations issued at the previous meeting and an examination of the achievements made in implementing them. Members also discussed updates to the cashless transformation plan, the financial sustainability index, and the results of expenditure rationalisation programmes during the first half of the current year, in addition to reviewing the results and plan for revenue development for the current year, with a view to enhancing financial sustainability and achieving optimal use of resources.
The council also discussed the roadmap for implementing the Spending Efficiency and Cost Improvement Guide issued by the Finance Department, as a practical framework aimed at strengthening financial governance, raising the efficiency of expenditure management, and achieving best value for money, in support of sustainable financial performance and improved institutional efficiency.
