The estimated value of amicable settlements in inheritance disputes and minors' funds cases at Dubai courts during 2025 reached approximately 5 billion and 260 million dirhams (AED 5.26bn), while the value of assets enforced reached AED 1.49bn, among the achievements highlighted in the Dubai Courts 2025 annual report, which underscored advances in case management, the promotion of amicable solutions, and family reconciliation.
Settlement outcomes included 1,052 properties settled and 1,101 documented agreements, in addition to the settlement of 357 vehicles, 240 vehicle registration numbers, and 284 commercial licences. The total value of debts repaid pursuant to settlement reached AED 39,168,387.62.
Dubai courts achieved an advanced level of performance in the management and settlement of inheritance and minors' funds cases during 2025, with the average time to settle inheritance and minors' funds cases reaching 13.8 days, while the rate of amicable settlements reached 92.5%, reflecting the effectiveness of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms and the speed of file completion.
Dubai courts also succeeded in settling 84% of family and enforcement cases out of a total of 1,184 resolved disputes, reflecting the effectiveness of alternative mechanisms in containing family disputes and accelerating their resolution.
As part of its community service role, Dubai courts launched a series of initiatives and improvement projects in personal status management during 2025, the most notable of which was the "Happy Family" initiative, aimed at strengthening family cohesion, protecting children's rights, and contributing to a reduction in family dispute rates, in line with national agenda targets and the social cohesion index.
