In response to strong public demand for the 'Ghiras Al Saif' programme and a desire to give as many girls as possible the opportunity to benefit from its educational and knowledge-based activities, the Dubai Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Work has announced an extension of its 'Ghiras Al Saif 2026' programme until 23 July.

The extension comes as a continuation of the sustained success the programme has achieved since its launch three years ago, during which it has established itself as one of the most prominent summer programmes for girls in Dubai. It has garnered broad community engagement and growing trust from families, thanks to its balanced content combining education, knowledge, and personal development in a safe and stimulating environment.

The programme targets girls of all age groups through a comprehensive set of activities and programmes that bring together Quranic sciences, the consolidation of Islamic values, the promotion of national identity, and the development of leadership skills, teamwork, self-reliance, manual and creative skills, as well as life and social skills — all contributing to the formation of a well-rounded personality capable of meeting the challenges of the future.

'Ghiras Al Saif' also serves as a practical model for making productive use of leisure time during the summer holiday, by providing an educational environment that embraces participants in a family spirit and helps strengthen their connection to the community and its core values. This is achieved under the supervision of an integrated team of specialists, supervisors, and volunteers who work to deliver a rich educational and developmental experience that combines benefit with enjoyment.

Shaikha Sultan Al Merri, Director of the Islamic Knowledge Programmes Department and programme officer, confirmed that the decision to extend the programme came in response to growing demand from parents and the considerable engagement the department observed in its activities since launch — reflecting the increasing community confidence in the quality programmes the department offers to build individuals and develop their capabilities.
