Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, in cooperation with Dubai Club for People of Determination, organised a special community evening for the guardians of people of determination under the theme "Towards a Stronger Family".
The event aimed to support guardians and equip them with the knowledge and skills that contribute to strengthening the family's role as the fundamental pillar in empowering people of determination and integrating them into society, in line with the directives of the Year of the Family and the targets of the Dubai Social Agenda 33, which seeks to build a more cohesive, connected community with a higher quality of life.
In his address, Mishal Abdulkarim Jalfar, Executive Director of Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, affirmed that the evening reflects the corporation's commitment to its social responsibility towards people of determination and their families, noting that the United Arab Emirates has established a leading global model in empowering people of determination and ensuring their active participation across all areas of life.
He said that empowering people of determination is a shared responsibility that requires the integrated efforts of institutions, families, and partners, pointing to the corporation's keenness to develop its services and initiatives in a manner that ensures a supportive and inclusive environment contributing to an enhanced quality of life and entrenching the values of participation and social integration. He added that the evening is an opportunity to listen to families and understand their needs and aspirations, helping the corporation develop more efficient and appropriate services.
He further stated that the corporation continues to deploy the latest technologies and innovative solutions in developing its services, ensuring easier access to ambulance services and enhancing the experience of people of determination and their families, in support of Dubai's vision for an inclusive and sustainable society that provides opportunities for all without exception.
For his part, Abdullah Quraishi, Head of the People of Determination Team at Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, affirmed that the evening stems from the corporation's belief in the pivotal role of the family in supporting people of determination and enhancing their quality of life, noting that it is not limited to the awareness aspect alone but represents a platform for direct communication with guardians and listening to their views and aspirations.
