The General Command of Dubai Police, represented by Jebel Ali Police Station, organised its fourth Community Engagement Forum under the "Your Voice is Heard" initiative, with the participation of citizens, residents, and partners within the station's jurisdiction.

The forum was held at the Millennium Hotel in Dubai Investment Park, with the aim of strengthening direct communication channels with community members and giving them the opportunity to raise observations and suggestions that contribute to the development of police services.

The forum was attended by Brigadier Majed Al Suwaidi, Director General of Police Stations; Brigadier Salah Bu Aseeba, Director General of Penal and Correctional Institutions; Brigadier Dr Tamim Mohammed Mohsin Al Haj, Director of the Six Sigma Centre at the General Directorate of Excellence and Leadership; Colonel Jamal Ibrahim, Director of Jebel Ali Police Station; his deputy Colonel Ali Ahmed Al Suwaidi; representatives of houses of worship in the Jebel Ali area; corporate partners and residents; and a number of officers.

Brigadier Majed Al Suwaidi affirmed that the Community Engagement Forum reflects Dubai Police General Command's commitment to holding periodic meetings across various areas of the emirate, with the aim of enhancing communication with community members, listening to their views and suggestions, and identifying challenges — all of which reinforces residents' sense of security, safety, and happiness.

He added that these meetings also help raise awareness of Dubai Police's efforts and the smart, high-quality services available through its various platforms, making it easier for users to access services quickly and efficiently.

Colonel Jamal Ibrahim, for his part, affirmed that such meetings represent a direct and effective communication channel between security authorities and community members, noting that Dubai Police's role is not limited to security work but extends to enhancing integration with various government entities, which positively reflects on the quality of life in the emirate.

He also extended his thanks to the forum's participants, stressing that the "Your Voice is Heard" initiative contributes to direct listening to opinions and suggestions, raising awareness of police services, and developing them in line with best global practices.

The forum featured a presentation of Dubai Police's most prominent community engagement initiatives, as well as a review of police and community services available at police stations and digital services accessible through the website and smart application.

Brigadier Majed Al Suwaidi and Colonel Jamal Ibrahim held a discussion session with attendees, during which they listened to their views, enquiries, and suggestions regarding the services provided and ways to develop them.

At the conclusion of the forum, attendees praised Dubai Police's efforts in promoting community engagement, affirming the importance of such meetings in supporting the partnership between the police and the community and improving the level of services provided. Partners of Jebel Ali Police Station and forum participants were also honoured in recognition of their role in supporting Dubai Police initiatives and fostering mutual cooperation.
