His Excellency Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chief of Police and General Security in Dubai, received the book Tenacity: The UAE's Finest Hour from its author Augie K. Fabela II, during a meeting held at the Dubai Police Officers Club.
His Excellency Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim extended his thanks to the author Augie Fabela for the valuable gift, which portrays a nationally unique experience unparalleled anywhere in the world.
The book reflects the wisdom of enlightened leadership, the steadfastness and readiness of the state, the strength of its institutions, and society's confidence in its leadership, alongside the solidarity, unity, and national responsibility demonstrated by the UAE community in all its segments, as well as the country's capacity to confront challenges and manage crises effectively.
The book also addresses how the United Arab Emirates continued to manage vital sectors with efficiency and stability, with public life, economic activities, and community affairs proceeding normally — a scene that reflected the state's readiness and the strength of its institutions, as well as the solidarity, unity, and national responsibility shown by the UAE community during that period.
The book reviews the recent aggressive attacks to which the country was subjected, through an account presented by the author Augie Fabela, who chose to remain in Dubai throughout the crisis, conveying details of the scene from the heart of events and drawing on more than three decades of experience working in emerging markets and conflict zones around the world.
The author, Augie K. Fabela II, is a businessman and founder and chairman of VEON, the global digital operator serving more than 205 million customers in emerging markets.
The meeting was attended by Major General Ahmed Atiq Al Maqoodi, Director General of the Office of the Deputy Chief of Police and General Security in Dubai, along with a number of senior officers.
