Publications of the Dubai International Quran Award, affiliated with the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai, have surpassed 314,000 volumes, in a step that embodies the success of the developmental vision adopted for the award.
This vision has contributed to advancing the award's journey and consolidating its standing as one of the world's most prominent Quranic prizes, through developing its institutional framework, elevating Quranic competitions, expanding knowledge initiatives, and strengthening scientific publications — all in service of the UAE's mission to disseminate the Holy Quran and entrench its human and civilisational values.
According to statistics, the total volumes distributed by the award exceeded 314,000, spanning more than 181,000 titles, benefiting approximately 1,815 recipients — including 1,755 individuals and 60 entities and institutions — while the publications reached 31 countries around the world, reflecting the wide reach of the award's scientific output and the growing confidence in its specialised publications.
This achievement comes as an extension of a continuous development journey undertaken by the award, which has reinforced its global presence by organising and managing leading Quranic competitions that attracted thousands of participants from countries around the world, alongside the dissemination of Islamic knowledge across various channels.
These include the publication of specialised scientific works, which have helped entrench the award's standing as a comprehensive global platform for serving the Holy Quran — one that combines the care of Quran scholars, knowledge production, the promotion of Quranic culture, and the building of effective scientific partnerships with academic and cultural institutions both within the country and abroad.
Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Director General of the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dubai International Quran Award, said: "The Dubai International Quran Award has today become a comprehensive civilisational project that embodies the UAE's mission in serving the Holy Quran.
"For this reason, we have worked to develop all its tracks, from the Quranic competitions that celebrate Quran scholars, to the scientific publications and knowledge initiatives that enrich the Islamic library and disseminate Quranic sciences.
"What we are witnessing today — with the award's publications reaching dozens of countries around the world — is the fruit of an institutional vision that invested in knowledge, strengthened partnerships, and was committed to building a sustainable scientific legacy that reflects the UAE's civilisational standing and its global leadership in serving the Book of God."
He added: "We will continue to build on the achievements accomplished, by enhancing the means of teaching the Holy Quran, encouraging its reading and memorisation, strengthening partnerships with scientific and cultural institutions, and investing in qualitative initiatives that ensure the sustainability of impact and keep pace with the aspirations of our wise leadership in cementing Dubai's standing as a global centre of knowledge, and a beacon for teaching the Holy Quran, disseminating its values, and encouraging its study and recitation."
