Dubai Charity Association has reinforced its humanitarian and development presence in the republics of Benin and Togo by implementing a broad package of sustainable projects during 2025 and the first half of 2026, encompassing the construction of mosques, educational and health facilities, well-drilling, and the launch of economic empowerment and poverty-reduction initiatives.

The projects were carried out with support from donors in the United Arab Emirates, coinciding with the conclusion of a two-week field mission by the association's delegation to both countries, dedicated to monitoring progress, evaluating completed and ongoing projects, and assessing their development impact and the needs of beneficiary communities.

The association's delegation comprised Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Executive Director; Mahmoud Sahalbaji, Director of Resource Development; Engineer Wissam Araibi, Head of External Projects; and Mohammed Ibrahim from the Projects Department.

In the Republic of Benin, the association's projects included the construction of 787 mosques, 7 residential complexes, 46 Qur'an memorisation centres, and 27 educational facilities and initiatives, in addition to drilling 68 wells, establishing 9 clinics and 26 health projects, launching 31 productive-family projects, 850 poverty-reduction initiatives, 48 mosque endowments, and 5 projects for people of determination.

In the Republic of Togo, the association implemented an integrated model village comprising 80 homes, a mosque, a school, 2 wells, a Qur'an memorisation centre, and 8 endowment shops, alongside the construction of 52 mosques, 18 wells, an orphanage, and 5 homes for the poor.
