As part of its ongoing efforts to promote innovation and institutional excellence, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) organised a benchmarking workshop with Siemens Energy, aimed at exchanging best practices and exploring opportunities for innovation, digital transformation, and continuous improvement across areas including employee and customer happiness, procurement, sustainability, and health and safety, with the participation of specialists from both sides.

During the workshop, DEWA presented its leadership in embedding a corporate culture built on employee happiness through comprehensive wellbeing and engagement programmes, alongside its advanced digital ecosystem, which leverages artificial intelligence technologies to enhance the customer experience, boost operational efficiency, and support data-driven decision-making.

It also highlighted its pioneering sustainability initiatives and energy efficiency programmes. The workshop included a presentation on the innovative initiatives and digital solutions developed by DEWA to improve operational efficiency, enhance stakeholder experience, and accelerate digital transformation and AI adoption.

DEWA's team also showcased leading practices in customer happiness and the deployment of artificial intelligence in customer and supplier services and corporate operations, which have contributed to advanced levels of customer happiness — recording a 98.9% rating on the Dubai Government's Instant Happiness Index, as measured by the Dubai Digital Authority.

For its part, Siemens Energy presented its corporate culture, which is grounded in active leadership, transparency, and the empowerment of talent, as well as its advanced AI applications in supporting operational excellence across procurement, quality, health and safety, and customer experience management.

The company also presented its integrated sustainability framework and its focus on developing flexible future-oriented solutions in the energy sector.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening their long-term strategic partnership, particularly in supporting the energy transition in the United Arab Emirates, and in achieving the targets of the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and the Dubai Net Zero Carbon Strategy 2050.

They also renewed their commitment to continuing to enhance cooperation and the exchange of knowledge and expertise in areas of mutual interest, in a manner that supports the achievement of both parties' strategic objectives and contributes to the development of innovative solutions.
