Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chief of Police and Public Security in Dubai and Chairman of the Board of the Juvenile Awareness and Welfare Association, presided over the association's 77th meeting at the Dubai Police Officers Club. The meeting was attended by Sultan Saqr Al Suwaidi, Vice Chairman of the association; Dr Mohammed Murad Abdullah, Secretary General; Mirza Al Sayegh; members of the board of directors and committee chairs; and association members Dr Mansour Al Awwar, Dr Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Dr Jassim Mirza, Dr Saif Al Jabri, Faisal Al Shamsi, Badria Al Yasi, and Maryam Al Ahmadi.

During the meeting, the minutes of the previous 76th meeting were ratified following their review. The updated articles of association were also approved, based on the model charter for public-benefit associations adopted by the Cabinet. The updated charter will contribute significantly to advancing the association's objectives, raising public awareness of family and juvenile issues, behavioural risks, and contemporary challenges, and strengthening the family's role in healthy upbringing and the prevention of social and behavioural problems that may affect children and juveniles. It will also support initiatives and programmes that develop children's skills and abilities and reinforce their positive values and behaviours, in cooperation with the relevant authorities. The charter further supports contributions to specialised programmes in rehabilitation, vocational training, and community integration for juveniles through partnerships with official institutions and related bodies, the building of effective strategic partnerships, and the expansion of community participation and voluntary work to support the association's goals and maximise its impact. It also provides for conducting and supporting specialised studies and research, contributing to the development of policies and initiatives related to family and juvenile affairs, and promoting governance, innovation, digital transformation, and resource development to ensure the association's sustainability and enhance its efficiency and societal impact.

The meeting also included a review of the association's activities and objectives, which encompass awareness and community prevention, family empowerment and parenting skills development, youth and children's skills development, support for specialised rehabilitation programmes, scientific research and studies, partnerships, volunteering and corporate social responsibility, and institutional innovation and excellence. The association's participation in the sixth edition of the Said bin Lootah Ideal Family in Child-Rearing Award 2026, along with the required participation criteria, was also reviewed.

Attendees discussed a number of proposals and ideas related to the association's activities, including contributions to the printing of research papers and books of social value, the approval of several new memberships, recent developments in the association's work, and a number of important topics on the agenda.
