Dr Robin Mann, Chairman of the International Best Practice Competition (IBPC), honoured His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), in recognition of his leadership role in consolidating a world-class institutional excellence framework and his contribution to enabling the Authority to achieve this distinction at the international level. Eleven of DEWA's work teams, which developed the practices and contributed to these achievements, were also honoured. All submitted practices were accredited as global best practices and received advanced ratings ranging from 5 to 7 stars, reflecting the deep-rooted culture of institutional excellence at DEWA and its commitment to adopting and developing global best practices in innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement. Five practices received a 7-star rating, three received a 6-star rating, and three received a 5-star rating.

Dr Robin Mann congratulated DEWA on the exceptional success it achieved in its first best practice accreditation programme within the International Best Practice Competition. All 11 of DEWA's best practices were evaluated and received a rating of 5 stars or above, confirming their status as accredited global best practices. He noted that the achievement reflects DEWA's firm commitment to excellence and innovation.
