The Endowments and Minors' Affairs Foundation in Dubai has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Dubai Foundation for Community Contributions — Jood, aimed at strengthening joint cooperation in the fields of endowments and community development, and advancing waqf initiatives and projects with sustainable impact, in support of social development targets.
Under the partnership, the two parties will collaborate across a number of strategic areas designed to support endowment work and enhance its community impact, including: the exchange of information, expertise, and studies related to waqf projects and community initiatives; cooperation in developing and managing high-quality waqf projects in the educational, health, social, and developmental fields; and exploring opportunities for digital integration between the two sides to support endowment campaigns and facilitate contributions by community members.
The areas of cooperation also include the implementation of joint media and awareness campaigns to promote a culture of endowment and highlight waqf projects, as well as the organisation of workshops, seminars, introductory sessions, and field visits to advance mutual knowledge and develop future cooperation opportunities.
Ali Al Mutawa, Secretary-General of the Endowments and Minors' Affairs Foundation in Dubai, affirmed that the cooperation with Jood reflects the foundation's orientation towards building effective strategic partnerships that contribute to developing the endowment system and strengthening its role in supporting sustainable community development, through the harnessing of shared expertise and the utilisation of modern digital solutions to reach broader segments of the community.
For his part, Marwan Rashid bin Hashim, Executive Director of the Dubai Foundation for Community Contributions — Jood, affirmed that the partnership represents an important step towards enhancing integration between endowment work and community work, contributing to the development of sustainable models of giving capable of making a long-term impact on the lives of individuals and communities.
