The Dubai Women's Renaissance Association, represented by its Religious and Cultural Events Department, concluded its Quranic programmes for the current year by holding a ceremony honouring the achievements of the 'Gardens of the People of the Quran' initiative. The event was attended by Sheikha Amina bint Humaid Al Tayir, President and Chairwoman of the Association's Board of Directors, along with a number of board members and community figures. The initiative continued its leading role in entrenching Islamic values and enhancing religious awareness across all age groups.
The ceremony featured the honouring of distinguished students. A total of 309 students enrolled in Quranic studies participated in the current season, comprising 221 students at the Association's main branch in the Al Hamriya area and 82 students at the Al Khawaneej branch, reflecting the level of academic attainment and commitment achieved by students throughout the year.
The ceremony also included an address by the management, a visual presentation entitled 'A Journey of Achievement' reviewing the most prominent milestones, programmes, and activities carried out during the current season, a choral operetta entitled 'In Love with the Emirates', and a segment titled 'A Light Shining from My Heart', which embodied the profound impact of the Holy Quran in building character and entrenching positive values.
Dr Fatima Al Falasi, Director General of the Dubai Women's Renaissance Association, affirmed that the Quranic and educational initiatives organised by the Association represent one of the strategic pathways in human development and the reinforcement of the value system within society. She noted that investing in rising generations constitutes a genuine investment in the future of the nation and the sustainability of its achievements.
She explained that the Association is keen to offer quality programmes that combine education, upbringing, and character building, contributing to the entrenchment of national identity and the tolerant Islamic values, in alignment with the UAE's vision of preparing conscious generations that hold fast to their principles and are capable of contributing effectively to the journey of comprehensive development. Al Falasi added that the successive successes of the Quranic initiatives reflect the community's trust in the role the Association plays in serving the family, noting that this effort stems from a vision centred on spreading knowledge and entrenching religious and national values, to keep pace with the state's aspirations for a more aware, cohesive, and sustainable society.
Dr Aisha Al Maghribi, Director of the Religious and Cultural Events Department at the Dubai Women's Renaissance Association, noted that the current season witnessed a remarkable turnout of male and female students for the specialised Quranic and educational programmes, reflecting the growing awareness of the importance of Islamic sciences in building a balanced character.
She explained that the department was keen to offer diverse programmes combining Quran memorisation, Tajweed, the study of the Prophet's Sunnah and its sciences, as well as specialised programmes in Quranic recitations and academic authorisations (Ijazat). She stressed that these initiatives go beyond the educational dimension to contribute to character development and fostering a sense of belonging. She expressed pride in the distinguished levels of participants, pointing to ongoing efforts to develop programmes and initiatives to meet community needs and entrench a culture of continuous learning.
Al Maghribi noted that the Holy Quran and the Prophet's Sunnah represent the fundamental pillar in building generations and shaping their characters, and that the department therefore strives each year to offer a diverse range of educational, cultural, and social programmes to instil noble values and strengthen national, Arab, and Islamic identity.
She concluded by affirming that these initiatives aim to connect religious knowledge to daily life and to prepare a conscious generation that holds fast to its principles and possesses the ability to distinguish right from wrong, enabling it to contribute effectively to supporting the journey of development and building a stable society, as the Association continues to fulfil its mission through quality programmes that keep pace with contemporary changes and challenges.
