A senior Swedish police official has praised the United Arab Emirates' model of policing, affirming that it represents an advanced model combining innovation, a proactive vision, and a human dimension, and that it contributes to shaping the future of security work worldwide.
The praise came from Chief Superintendent Erik Stasais of the Swedish Police Authority, one of the participants in the third edition of the Policing Innovation and Leadership (PIL) diploma, organised by Dubai Police General Command in cooperation with Rabdan Academy.
Stasais, who holds a leadership position at the strategic level and has extensive experience in intelligence, operations, and command, said his participation in the programme stemmed from his conviction that the future of policing rests on international cooperation.
He added: "I was driven by a firm belief that the future of policing is a global matter, and that we become stronger when we learn from one another. The vision and ambition of the United Arab Emirates in the field of innovation were a key factor in what made this programme stand out."
Speaking about Dubai Police, Stasais expressed great admiration for the level of progress it has achieved, stressing that excellence lies not only in technology but in the thinking behind it, saying:
"I was impressed not only by the level of innovation and technical advancement, but by the mindset behind it — the boldness to look ahead and the commitment to achieving excellence."
