The General Command of Dubai Police has won 16 awards at the Dubai Quality Group Awards during a ceremony recently organised by the group. The prizes spanned the Emirates Women's Award, the Arab International Afkar Award, the Global Continuous Improvement Award, the UAE Afkar Award, the UAE Innovation Award, the Global Artificial Intelligence Award, the Global Medical Excellence Award, and the Global Sustainability Award.
In the Emirates Women's Award, Abrar Abdul Hakim Ahmed, a senior engineer, won in the Young Female Employee category, while Aisha Al Housani, a chief executive, won in the Community Work category. In the Arab International Afkar Award, the initiative to facilitate the affairs of the deceased's relatives won in the Customer Happiness category.
The "Basmat Shifa" idea won the Health and Safety award, while the innovation team received an award in the Best Innovative Work Team category. In the Innovative Executive category, Colonel Ahmed Al Hafeiti, Director of the Initiatives and Projects Department, won the Arab International Afkar Award, as did Leading Corporal Mohammed Saleh, a chief quality technician.
In the Best Research or Article Supporting Innovation category, the idea titled "Analysis and Classification of Evidence Related to Homemade Explosives," submitted by Captain Abdulrahman Al Janahi, received an award.
In the Global Continuous Improvement Award, the case study "Zero Accidents Initiative" from the General Directorate of Transport and Rescue received an award. In the winning cases in the Six Sigma category for the services and manufacturing sector, the "Project to Improve the Processing Time for Rescuing Injured and Trapped Persons in Vehicle Accidents" won an award. In the winning case studies in the Kaizen and Innovation category, "An Immersive Experience for Investigating a Virtual Crime Scene" received an award.
In the UAE Afkar Award, the Nasij Community Initiative won. In the winning idea in the category of Encouraging, Engaging and Empowering Citizens, the Community Empowerment Initiative won.
In the winning idea in the category of Marketing the United Arab Emirates Abroad, the idea of "Marketing the UAE Abroad through Sport and through the Sports Excellence Centre" won an award. In the winning idea in the Smart Government and Digital Transformation category, the "Smart Explosives Escort Project" received an award, and in the Best Research or Article Supporting Innovation category, the award was won by Dubai Police.
