The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai organised a dialogue session titled 'Mawadda Council' (Council of Affection) as part of its 'Maaris Al Fareej' initiative, attended by Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Director General of the Department. The session was moderated by Dr Ismail Al Breimi, with the participation of Dr Amal Basaheeb and Dr Abdullah Musa.

The session was held at the Umm Al Sheif Cultural Islamic Centre, attended by diverse segments of the community, as part of the Department's efforts to promote family stability and entrench authentic societal values. The session addressed a number of important themes related to married life, most notably the challenges faced by couples during the early years of marriage, and ways to manage family differences through dialogue and mutual understanding.

The session also reviewed the keys to family stability drawn from successful real-life experiences, and highlighted the impact of awareness and effective communication in sustaining marital relationships and enhancing the quality of family life.

The session focused on the importance of preparing those about to marry and equipping them with the practical skills and tools that contribute to building stable and cohesive families, with positive repercussions for social cohesion and sustainable development.

These efforts fall within the Department's vision to promote family awareness and entrench a culture of community solidarity, in alignment with the directives of the wise leadership aimed at building a more stable and happy society, and in support of the Department's strategic objectives of spreading a positive family culture and reinforcing the values system that contributes to the advancement and prosperity of society through qualitative initiatives and awareness programmes that help build conscious generations capable of facing family and societal challenges with efficiency and competence.
