Rashid Khalifa Al Falasi, Director General of the Transport and Rescue Department at Dubai Police, honoured participants from Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services who completed a specialised training course in off-road vehicle driving, organised by Dubai Police over two weeks. The ceremony was attended by Majed Al Zarooni, Director of Operations Department, Dr. Suhaila Qaid, Director of the Training and Continuing Education Department, and Abdullah Abdul Latif, Head of the Emergency Ambulance Operations Section at Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services.

The course aimed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills required to drive vehicles in rugged environments and off-road areas, and to enhance their ability to handle various field challenges in accordance with the highest standards of safety and efficiency. The comprehensive training programme was supervised by First Warrant Officer Tamim Al Houti, a certified trainer, and included practical applications and diverse field scenarios.

Major General Rashid Al Falasi affirmed that investing in specialised training is a fundamental pillar for enhancing operational readiness and raising the efficiency of field personnel to deal with various challenges and exceptional circumstances with competence and professionalism. He noted that rugged environments demand advanced skills and specialised expertise to ensure rapid response and the safety of teams working in the field.

Dr. Suhaila Qaid, Director of the Training and Continuous Development Department at Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, commended the fruitful partnership between Dubai Police and Dubai Ambulance, which facilitates the exchange of expertise and knowledge and contributes to developing the skills of ambulance personnel and enhancing their readiness to handle various field challenges.
