The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai has announced the launch of the 'Ghiras Al Summer 2026' programme, part of the 'Ghiras Al Khair' initiative, running from 6 to 16 July 2026 across six of its cultural centres. These include the Al Mizhar Islamic Cultural Centre, the Umm Al Sheif Islamic Cultural Centre, the Maktoum Centres for Quran Memorisation and Sciences (Al Warqa and Nad Al Sheba 4), the Nad Al Sheba Women's Centre, and the Hatta Community Centre.
The programme is part of the department's efforts to invest the summer holiday period in developing the personalities of youth and young women, reinforcing loyalty and belonging to the nation, and consolidating Islamic values and authentic Emirati identity.
Shaikha Sultan Al Merry, Director of the Islamic Knowledge Programmes Department and head of the Ghiras Al Summer initiative, affirmed that the 'Ghiras Al Summer' programme is one of the quality programmes that the department is committed to developing annually in line with its strategic vision and the directives of the wise leadership in building the individual and strengthening social cohesion. She noted that the programme focuses on instilling the values of good citizenship and pride in national identity, alongside entrenching noble Islamic values and developing the personal skills of participants.
