His Excellency Staff Lieutenant General Ibrahim Nasser Al Alawi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, met with members of the Ministry of Defence Youth Council to review the council's most prominent initiatives and programmes, the results it has achieved, and its contributions to embedding a culture of creativity, enhancing youth participation in developing the work environment, and presenting developmental ideas and solutions that support the ministry's directions and strategic objectives.
The meeting comes within the framework of the state's continued commitment, under the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, to consolidating its approach of investing in people and empowering youth as the fundamental pillar of the development journey and the making of the future. It also reflects the ministry's keenness to empower young national talents and strengthen their role in supporting institutional development and innovation.
His Excellency praised the efforts of the council and the spirit of initiative, responsibility, and commitment demonstrated by its members, affirming that youth represent a fundamental pillar in the journey of development and a proactive partner in shaping the future and anticipating its opportunities and challenges.
He urged council members to continue their work, build on the achievements already realised, and press ahead with launching qualitative initiatives and innovative ideas that contribute to enhancing institutional performance and embedding a culture of excellence and innovation. He reaffirmed the ministry's commitment to supporting and empowering youth and providing an enabling environment to unleash their energies and capabilities.
For their part, council members expressed pride in the support and attention the ministry devotes to youth, affirming their commitment to continuing to launch initiatives and programmes that contribute to realising the ministry's vision and reinforcing a culture of leadership and institutional excellence.
The council provides youth with an interactive platform that allows them to put forward ideas and initiatives and contribute to developing the institutional work environment, while playing an important role in attracting young national talents and developing their capabilities.
