Abu Dhabi City Municipality has carried out an inspection and awareness campaign covering 116 children's games and entertainment halls within its geographical jurisdiction, coinciding with the start of summer, with the aim of verifying compliance with health and safety requirements and providing a safe and healthy recreational environment for visitors, particularly children.

The campaign forms part of the municipality's ongoing efforts to maintain the health and safety of children by strengthening oversight of entertainment facilities and raising awareness among games hall owners and staff of the importance of adhering to approved health requirements and preventive standards.

During field tours, municipality inspectors focused on verifying the implementation of all health requirements inside the games halls, checking general hygiene levels, and educating facility owners and staff on best health practices that contribute to protecting children and ensuring the safety of visitors to these venues.

The inspection work included verifying the implementation of regular cleaning and maintenance programmes for games and facilities, compliance with general hygiene standards inside the halls, the provision of first-aid kits meeting the required specifications, the maintenance of adequate lighting levels within facilities, and a review of periodic disinfection and sterilisation records to ensure they are being carried out regularly in accordance with approved standards.

Abu Dhabi City Municipality affirmed that these campaigns form part of a continuous regulatory system it implements throughout the year, with the aim of enhancing public health and prevention levels and ensuring that entertainment facilities comply with all requirements that guarantee the safety of children and visitors.

The municipality stressed that campaigns will continue to be conducted on a periodic basis, contributing to the provision of a healthy and safe recreational environment.
