His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sandooq Al Watan, has affirmed that the fund's summer programmes — which concluded their first week of activities under the slogan "Proud of the UAE" at 50 venues across the country — aim to contribute to building future generations that believe in their national identity, in pursuit of a bright future for this cherished homeland, in line with the wise vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, who always places the youth of the UAE at the top of his priorities.

He explained that the current edition of Sandooq Al Watan's summer programmes draws on the vision of His Highness the President of the State that national identity should be strong, sustainable, and vibrant with pride and honour for all things Emirati — whether that pride pertains to the past and its authentic values, the present with its renaissance and distinction, or the future with its hopes and ambitions. He emphasised that national identity is the hallmark of all the initiatives, programmes, and activities, which have been varied and diverse according to the schools, universities, and centres participating in Sandooq Al Watan's summer programmes this year.

This came during His Excellency's follow-up on the activities of Sandooq Al Watan's summer programmes, during which he reviewed the feedback from a large segment of students, parents, and trainers on the activities, initiatives, workshops, and talent discovery sessions the programmes have delivered in support of national identity.

For his part, Yasser Al Qarqawi, Director General of Sandooq Al Watan, affirmed that the conclusion of the first week of the fund's summer programmes represents a successful launch to an exceptional season, which saw the implementation of more than 1,250 educational, creative, and interactive activities at more than 50 venues distributed across the various emirates of the country, with broad participation from students, families, and partners.
